Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and head of Iran’s negotiating delegation, returned to Iran from Qatar on Tuesday evening, according to the state broadcaster Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
Reports indicate that the Iranian negotiating team arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, yesterday as part of mediation efforts aimed at reaching an agreement between the United States and Iran.
The delegation included Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati.
According to analysts, the presence of senior financial officials suggested that the discussions also focused on Iran’s frozen assets, which Tehran hopes will be released as part of any future agreement with Washington.
