The Organization of KLA War Veterans (OVL-UÇK) has thanked Kosovo’s war-related categories and citizens for their participation and perseverance during recent protests in support of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).

In a statement, OVL-UÇK praised the participation of citizens and members of the war veterans’ community, saying their joint protests sought to defend what the organization described as the values and public image of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

“Dear members of the categories emerging from the KLA war, dear citizens. Through your perseverance and protests, together we managed to defend the KLA. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO THE HOMELAND!” the organization said.

The protests have taken place amid public debate in Kosovo following the September 16 verdicts by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers against four former KLA leaders and continuing discussions over proposed amendments to the law governing the court.
