Glauk Konjufca and Fatmire Mulhaxha Kollçaku have officially withdrawn from their candidacies for President of Kosovo.
Both had been proposed as candidates by Lëvizja Vetëvendosje, but confirmed their withdrawal during proceedings.
“I officially withdraw from my candidacy for President of Kosovo,” Konjufca stated.
“For the sake of the transcript, I also withdraw from the candidacy for President,” Mulhaxha-Kollçaku added.
Their withdrawal comes just one day before the constitutional deadline for electing a President expires. If the Assembly of Kosovo fails to elect a new head of state, the country will automatically head to new elections.
The move further deepens the political uncertainty, as Kosovo approaches a critical institutional deadline without a clear consensus candidate.
