Time Kadrijaj, a deputy from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), stated that the party’s position regarding the election of the Speaker of Parliament has not changed. She added that they are not informed whether the Vetëvendosje Movement will propose Albulena Haxhiu again today.
Before the start of the seventh attempt to fully constitute the ninth legislature, Kadrijaj mentioned that AAK has not received any invitation from LVV for a consultative meeting.
“We are not waiting for anything, we haven’t received any invitation, despite early suggestions that coordination was needed. This majority should have the votes; this political class should work to secure the necessary majority of 61 votes. We haven’t seen any real effort, at least publicly,” Kadrijaj stated.
She confirmed that AAK’s stance remains the same — they will not vote for Haxhiu as Speaker.
The continuation of the constitutional session is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM. This is the fifth attempt to elect the Speaker, with LVV’s proposal of Albulena Haxhiu failing four times.
