Kosovo and Estonia held high-level Political Consultations in Tallinn, reaffirming their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
The consultations were led by Ilir Muçaj, Secretary General of Kosovo’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, and Siiri Königsberg, Director General for European Affairs at Estonia’s Foreign Ministry.
Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in several key sectors, including digital development, innovation, education, and defense. Both sides also exchanged views on Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration process, the European future of the Western Balkans, and current regional developments.
During a working lunch hosted by Martin Roger, participants discussed the broader geopolitical situation in Europe, including Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine and its implications for European security.
The consultations also addressed multilateral cooperation, including matters related to the Council of Europe and other international organizations.
Estonia reiterated its support for Kosovo’s European perspective and continued integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions. Both sides welcomed the progress achieved in bilateral relations and expressed readiness to maintain regular political dialogue while expanding cooperation in areas of common strategic interest.
The meeting highlights the growing partnership between Kosovo and Estonia, particularly in fields where Estonia is considered a European leader, such as digital governance, cybersecurity, and technological innovation.
