Kosovo and the United States have reaffirmed their strong defense partnership during the annual Military-to-Military (M2M) workshop in Kosovo, with discussions focusing on strengthening the capabilities and interoperability of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF).
According to Kosovo’s Ministry of Defense, the workshop highlighted the important role of the Iowa National Guard in supporting cooperation between Kosovo and the United States in the defense sector.
Participants discussed shared priorities and concrete steps aimed at advancing the KSF’s capabilities and improving its interoperability with partner forces.
Kosovo’s Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, said the focus would be on translating joint plans into concrete actions and further strengthening cooperation with the United States and other partners.
“Together, we are building a more capable, professional, modern force that is interoperable with our partners. Our focus remains clear: to turn joint plans into concrete actions and take our partnership to a new level,” Maqedonci said.
The annual M2M workshop forms part of ongoing defense cooperation between Kosovo and the United States, including collaboration with the Iowa National Guard, which has maintained a partnership with Kosovo for years.
