Kosovo Police Seize Serbian Flags and Illegal Weapons in Leposavić

The Kosovo Police has announced the seizure of Serbian flags and illegal weapons during a police operation in Leposavić.

Acting on intelligence that a suspect identified as A.A. (1997) was allegedly in illegal possession of weapons, police searched two locations in Leposavić and one location in Vushtrri.

During the searches in Leposavić, officers seized:

  • Serbian flags, including one bearing the inscription “Kosovo je Srbija” (“Kosovo is Serbia”);
  • Two smoke grenades;
  • A gas pistol with one magazine;
  • One AK-47 assault rifle;
  • One magazine loaded with 30 rounds of ammunition.

The State Prosecutor ordered the initiation of criminal proceedings for unauthorized ownership, control, or possession of weapons. The suspect was interviewed and released pending regular legal proceedings.

Kosovo Police reiterated their commitment to removing illegal weapons from circulation and maintaining public security.
