Kosovo Police said Thursday that they had seized a significant quantity of weapons, ammunition, uniforms and other evidence during operations at several locations in North Mitrovica.

Police announced that further details would be presented at an extraordinary press conference scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at the “Enver Zymeri” Special Units Center in Mitrovica.

“During this conference, details will be presented regarding police operations carried out at several locations in North Mitrovica, involving the discovery and seizure of a significant quantity of weapons, ammunition, uniforms and other relevant evidence, which will be displayed to the media,” Kosovo Police said in a statement.

Authorities are also expected to provide information about police actions linked to an investigation into alleged “war crimes against the civilian population” at several suspected locations in Zubin Potok.

Kosovo Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla and Kosovo Police Director General Gazmend Hoxha are expected to address the media during the briefing.

The announcement comes amid heightened security concerns in northern Kosovo, where authorities have continued investigations into weapons caches, organized criminal activity and cases linked to past violence.

Further details about the seized weapons, the identities of those involved and the circumstances surrounding the operation are expected to be released at the press conference.
