The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, stated that the enlargement of the European Union is the best response to those threatening Europe’s peace and unity.
In a post on ‘X’, Kurti expressed his gratitude to President Ursula von der Leyen for today’s invitation and her support for the Western Balkans, while also congratulating her on her re-election.
Kurti added that Kosovo is “eager to join the ‘race to the top’ in a merit-based accession process.”
“With enlargement back on the EU agenda, we eagerly look forward to obtaining candidate status and the questionnaire, as our commitment to reforms, development, and democracy only grows stronger,” Kurti declared.
