The civic platform “Liria ka Emër” has invited Kosovo’s main political leaders to join a march in Prishtina on September 12 in support of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders facing a verdict at the Specialist Chambers in The Hague.
The march, organized under the slogan “Kosova po pret” (“Kosovo Is Waiting”), is scheduled for four days before the expected verdict in the case involving the former KLA leaders.
Ismail Tasholli, representing the civic platform, called on the leaders of Kosovo’s four largest political parties — Albin Kurti, Bedri Hamza, Lumir Abdixhiku and Ardian Gjini — to participate in the event.
“We invite all Albanian political parties and the leaders of the four largest parties in the country — Mr. Kurti, Mr. Hamza, Mr. Abdixhiku and Mr. Gjini — to become part of the March for Freedom,” Tasholli said.
He stressed that the invitation was addressed to all political leaders without exception and urged them to attend and publicly address participants.
“Not to campaign. Not to raise party flags. But for Kosovo, for freedom, for the future,” Tasholli said.
The organizers said the march is intended to convey a message of solidarity and support ahead of the anticipated verdict in The Hague, while emphasizing that the event should remain separate from political campaigning.
