On February 25, 2025, the police arrested six (6) individuals on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Assaulting a Public Official.”
The suspects were alcohol-tested:
- N.N. – 24 years old, 1.59 ‰
- N.N. – 26 years old, 1.62 ‰
- A.B. – 28 years old, 1.50 ‰
- A.B. – 30 years old, 1.57 ‰
- I.R. – 24 years old, 1.21 ‰
- B.D. – 19 years old, 1.84 ‰
The arrests were made based on reasonable suspicion of involvement in a confrontation that took place on February 25, 2025, on “Kral Petri” street in Mitrovica North, in front of the “Tre Sheshira” café.
After the intervention of a patrol unit to stop the fight, the suspects initially insulted and then physically attacked the police officers, resulting in injuries to three (3) officers, who received medical treatment.
Acting professionally in the performance of their duties, the police took all necessary actions. The suspects were arrested and brought to the police station, where they were subjected to an alcohol test. The results indicated that they were under the influence of alcohol, as shown above. All the suspects also received medical treatment.
All actions taken were reported to the case prosecutor, and based on the prosecutor’s decision, the six (6) suspects were placed under a 48-hour detention order.
