The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, held a phone conversation today with the President of Kenya, William Ruto, following Kenya’s recognition of Kosovo.
In a post on the X platform, President Osmani described this move as a true act of friendship that strengthens Kosovo’s international position and cooperation for peace and security. She expressed her deep gratitude on behalf of the people of Kosovo and emphasized her commitment to establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries as soon as possible.
During the conversation, the two leaders discussed opportunities for deepening cooperation in areas such as trade, education, tourism, and other fields of mutual interest. President Osmani informed that Kosovo is committed to opening diplomatic missions in both countries as a concrete step towards a strong and sustainable partnership.
Additionally, she highlighted her eagerness to welcome President Ruto to Kosovo and to visit Kenya in the near future, noting that the two leaders have been discussing this visit for some time.
“Kenya can count on Kosovo as a true ally and partner,” President Osmani emphasized, marking the opening of a new chapter in the relationship between the two countries.
