Former President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has stated that the Kosovo Assembly has approved with 89 votes in favor an important decision regarding the deployment of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) to an international mission in Gaza as part of the International Stabilization Force (ISF).

According to Osmani, the decision represents a historic step and a demonstration of state unity, highlighting Kosovo’s commitment to peace, security, and global responsibility. She noted that the engagement is also linked to commitments signed on February 19 with United States President Donald Trump and other international partners.

“This step is a continuation of our commitment to peace, security, and global responsibility, in line with the commitment I signed on February 19 with President Trump and other partners. Today, the FSK stands shoulder to shoulder with the United States and our allies, proving that Kosovo is ready to take equal responsibility in defending peace,” Osmani wrote.

Osmani said that the inclusion of the FSK in this mission places Kosovo alongside the United States and its allies, strengthening the country’s international credibility and global standing.

She also called for the urgent and unanimous ratification of Kosovo’s membership in the “Peace Board,” describing it as a key political mechanism for coordinating the mission and advancing international cooperation.

In her statement, she emphasized that this step would further strengthen Kosovo’s security orientation, enhance cooperation with international partners, and contribute to the country’s path toward NATO membership.

Osmani also expressed gratitude to the United States for its continued support, stressing that Kosovo remains committed to contributing to global peace with professionalism and dignity.
