Members of the parliamentary Committee for the Oversight of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency conducted an official visit to the agency on Tuesday as part of their constitutional and legal mandate to ensure democratic oversight.
The visit marks the first of its kind for the committee within the framework of the 10th Legislature of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo and was primarily introductory in nature.
According to an official statement, the purpose of the visit was to provide committee members with a direct understanding of the agency’s structure, operations, and ongoing activities.
During the meeting, senior leadership of the agency—including the director, deputy director, and inspector general—briefed the committee on the implementation of their legal mandate, current challenges, and key priorities related to Kosovo’s national security.
The visit is part of broader efforts to strengthen parliamentary oversight and transparency in the intelligence sector, in line with democratic governance standards.
