Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has received a letter of congratulations from Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev on the formation of the new government and the start of his new term in office.

“I am pleased to extend my most sincere congratulations on the successful formation of the new government and your assumption of office as Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo. The dynamics of international relations require continuous efforts to effectively protect national interests. Your tireless commitment to consolidating Kosovo as an independent and respected member of the international community provides strong grounds for confidence in the success of your mission,” Prime Minister Radev wrote.

In his letter, Radev also expressed the Bulgarian government’s support for Kosovo’s European integration efforts.

“I assure you of the readiness of the government I lead to continue supporting the provision of a clear perspective for the Republic of Kosovo’s accession to the European Union, as well as your country’s full membership in the Council of Europe,” he continued.

With the aim of further strengthening relations between the two countries, Prime Minister Radev invited Kurti to visit Bulgaria.

“Excellent bilateral relations and friendly personal contacts provide a solid foundation for further deepening the ties between us. I am convinced that an official visit by you to Bulgaria in the near future would significantly contribute to elevating the partnership between our two countries to a new and higher level. Please accept, Honourable Prime Minister, the assurances of my highest consideration,” Radev concluded in his letter, according to the Government of Kosovo.

Kosovo’s new government, known as “Kurti 4,” was elected on September 13.
