The Mayor of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, has called for political agreement and unity, saying that Kosovo does not need unrest or confrontation.

In a statement, Lladrovci criticized political delays, stressing that they cannot be undone overnight.

“When the car breaks down, many roads can be found. Unjustified delays, from both the government and the opposition, cannot be fixed in a single day. Kosovo does not need unrest, tear gas being thrown, or aggression by our police units,” he wrote.

Lladrovci said the country needs an agreement, describing politics as a process that requires flexibility and peace.

“Politics is a tough sport, but it should also be flexible, peaceful and benevolent toward those who love their homeland and nation,” he said.

He called for unity around the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), implementation of the Constitution and the functioning of state institutions.

“We must be united, especially when the Kosovo Liberation Army is mentioned everywhere. Let us be united in implementing the Constitution, strengthening institutions and affirming the achievements of the state,” Lladrovci wrote.

The Drenas mayor said leaders must demonstrate their commitment in difficult situations.

“Leaders are made in difficult times. Show who truly wants what is best for our war and peace heroes, who truly wants what is best for Kosovo. Do not forget: our heroes, martyrs and fallen fighters sacrificed themselves for Kosovo,” he stressed.

In conclusion, Lladrovci called on decision-makers to take action and reach an agreement, saying Kosovo must not hurt its history or the values on which the state was built.

“Decision-makers, open your eyes and close your ears, make decisions. Kosovo does not kneel — neither yesterday, nor today, nor ever! Reach an agreement or step aside. Do not hurt the history of the state or the values upon which it was built!” Lladrovci concluded.
