Seven Parliamentary Committees Convene Today in Kosovo Assembly

Seven committees of the Assembly of Kosovo are expected to hold their regular meetings today, addressing a wide range of legislative and policy issues.

The Committee on Education, Science, Technology, Innovation, Culture, Youth and Sports will review the government’s decision on approving the new statute of the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina.”

The Committee on Economy, Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade will examine the amended report on the draft law on the register of beneficial owners, as well as a draft resolution on the annual report of ARKEP for 2022.

The Committee on the Rights and Interests of Communities and Return will review the draft law on the energy performance of buildings, along with amendments from the functional committee on economy.

Meanwhile, the Committee on Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing Persons, Victims of Wartime Sexual Violence and Petitions will meet with representatives of the Government Commission on Missing Persons and the Coordination Council of Families of Missing Persons, including Andin Hoti and Ahmet Grajqevci.

The Committee on Environment, Food, Agriculture, Planning and Development will review concerns raised by residents of the Toukbahçe neighborhood in Pristina regarding the alteration of water sources.

The Committee on Legislation, Mandates, Immunities, the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, and oversight of the Anti-Corruption Agency will examine several draft laws and establish a working group for the draft law on the Administrative Court.

Finally, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora will meet with the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Security and Defense of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.
