The United States Central Command has released footage showing U.S. Marines boarding the Iranian-flagged cargo ship Touska.

The video shows troops launching from the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli, descending by ropes from helicopters onto the vessel’s deck, and taking control of the ship. According to the U.S. military, the crew had been warned for hours beforehand.

U.S. officials stated that the vessel was disabled after the destroyer USS Spruance fired on its equipment room, halting its movement.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement condemning the operation and signaling a response.

“America has violated the ceasefire and committed maritime piracy by targeting a commercial vessel in the waters of the Gulf of Oman and disabling its navigation system,” Iranian officials said.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran, despite a fragile ceasefire following the conflict that began in late March.

Earlier, Iran had restricted traffic through the Strait of Hormuz one of the world’s most critical oil transit chokepoints—while the U.S. responded by imposing blockades on Iranian ports.

These developments have disrupted global energy trade and further shaken international markets.
