This initiative was realized thanks to the collaboration between the Faculty of Arts, its Dean Hazir Haziri, the Municipality of Prishtina, and the assembly members of all political parties.
This tribute comes as a gesture of gratitude for Begolli’s extraordinary contribution to theater and cinema, both as a well-known actor and director.
He was one of the founders of the Faculty of Arts, playing a key role in the development of artistic education in Kosovo.
Begolli was a mentor and guide for generations of artists, making an irreplaceable contribution to shaping Kosovo’s theater and cinematography.
He was also a co-founder and director of the “Dodona” theater, creating an important space for art and culture, especially during the difficult periods of Kosovo’s history.
The installation of this statue is a well-deserved homage to one of the greatest figures of Albanian art.
