The situation with the fires in Albania continues to be worrying, as 5 fires are still active.
The Ministry of Defense informs that during the last 24 hours, 23 fires have been reported, 19 of which have been brought under control.
The hotbed continues to be active in the waste collection sites in Vlora, for which, according to the Ministry, the capacities at the district level, supported by the capacities of the central government and private entities, have been engaged.
Work is also underway to extinguish the fires in the village of Malecaj in Lezha, in the village of Torovicë, in the village of Kameras in Durrës and in Zogaj in Tropoja.
“During the last 24 hours, 23 fires were reported. 19 outbreaks have been isolated. 633 operational forces engaged in extinguishing fires. The fires continue to be active in the waste dumps of the municipality of Vlorë, in the village of Malecaj Lezhë, which continues with low intensity. In this municipality, the fire in the village of Torovicë is on the verge of being completely extinguished. The fire is active in the village of Kameras, Durrës municipality. The fire in the village of Zogaj, Tropoja municipality”, the ministry announces.
