Thomas Bach, the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), will visit Kosovo today to mark the 10th anniversary of Kosovo’s membership in the IOC. Bach’s visit highlights a significant milestone for Kosovo’s Olympic movement since joining the global sports community.
Alongside Bach, other distinguished sports leaders will also visit Kosovo, including Spyros Capralos, President of the European Olympic Committees; Davide Tizzano, President of the International Mediterranean Games Committee; and various presidents of international sports federations.
To commemorate this occasion, the Kosovo Olympic Committee (KOK) is hosting a media conference at the Swiss Diamond Hotel in Pristina, starting at 12:00 PM. The event will feature speeches from Thomas Bach, Spyros Capralos, and Kosovo Olympic Committee leaders, including President Ismet Krasniqi and Secretary-General Besim Aliti.
This visit reflects Kosovo’s growing role in the global sporting community and celebrates its continued contribution to the Olympic movement.
