At least 12 people have died and another 10 have been seriously injured in a major traffic accident in Hungary.
The incident occurred at around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday on the M3 motorway near Mezőkeresztes, approximately 140 kilometers east of Budapest.
The bus, carrying 59 people, including 57 tourists and two drivers, left the road, overturned, and ended up in a ditch.
According to preliminary investigations, the driver is suspected of having fallen asleep at the wheel, causing him to lose control of the bus.
Rescue teams pulled 35 people from the bus, while several others remained trapped underneath the vehicle.
Cranes were also used to remove the bus from the ditch.
The driver has been arrested, while police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
