Trash Containers Catch Fire During Protest on “Agim Ramadani” Street

Several garbage containers caught fire on “Agim Ramadani” Street in Prishtina during a protest taking place near state institutions.

According to the Kosovo Police, the fires are suspected to have been started by protesters amid tensions that developed during the gathering, EO reports, as cited by Rks News.

Footage from the scene shows the containers engulfed in flames, while the situation in this part of the capital has become increasingly tense.

Police have continued to remain on the ground to maintain public order and safety. Earlier, the situation escalated after various objects, pyrotechnic devices and fireworks were thrown toward state institutions, prompting police to use tear gas.

So far, no serious injuries have been reported as a result of the incidents.
