U.S. President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, held a phone conversation today focused on the recently ratified agreement between the two nations regarding natural resources.
In an initial statement, a Ukrainian official described the conversation as having “gone very well,” without disclosing specific details.
According to Kyiv, President Zelensky reiterated his call for an immediate 30-day unconditional ceasefire from Russia.
Kyiv also stated that President Trump requested a clear picture of the battlefield situation, while being briefed on Ukraine’s ratification of the rare minerals agreement with the United States.
Earlier today, Ukraine’s parliament officially ratified the bilateral agreement on the exploitation of the country’s natural resource reserves.
