Serbian football fans are notorious for using matches as a platform to attack the state of Kosovo with propaganda slogans. A recent incident occurred last night in Belgrade, where Serbian club Crvena Zvezda was humiliated by Barcelona, losing 2-5.

The provocative display featured flags and banners with the slogan “Kosovo is Serbia,” a message that continues to be increasingly common among certain Serbian fan groups. UEFA has responded by stating that they are gathering facts regarding the incident and that the Serbian club could face penalties after the case is reviewed.

“Reports and facts regarding the match played last night are being collected and reviewed by us. When such issues are reported, procedures are opened, and if they lead to disciplinary sanctions, they will be published on the UEFA disciplinary website. We cannot provide further information on the case at this time,” UEFA said in a response to Blic.

As of now, the Football Federation of Kosovo has not issued an official statement on the matter.
