Ivon Veliçkovski, former leader of the Liberal Party and ex-MP in the North Macedonian Parliament, has commented on the issues faced by President Vjosa Osmani at the airport in North Macedonia.
In a post on his profile, Veliçkovski suggested that someone is trying to damage relations with Kosovo.
Furthermore, he posed the question of whether anyone could imagine an official asking the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to open his luggage.
“With this logic, will they ask Davkova at the border tomorrow to open her luggage to check if she’s carrying ajvar during a visit to the ‘St. Prohor Pčinjski’ Monastery? Or is the search of Osmani meant to ensure a more dignified meeting with the host in Serbian territory, Vučić, tomorrow? And finally, imagine if at Petrovec, any official would ask Vučić to open his luggage during transit? I don’t want to waste more words on whether, during Lavrov’s visit as part of the OSCE Summit in Skopje, they checked his hand luggage,” he wrote, among other things.
