Switzerland faced Serbia yesterday in Leskovac as part of the Nations League.

Serbia secured a 2-0 victory, marking its first triumph in this edition of the competition, according to Gazeta Express.

In the 8,000-seat stadium, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, were both in attendance.

During the performance of the Serbian national anthem, Vucic was seen waving a scarf in the colors of both the Russian and Serbian flags.

This drew criticism from Serbian politician Dragan Sormaz, who was part of Vucic’s party until 2023.

“What connection does Russia have with the Serbia-Switzerland match?! Resign, the shame of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, go to Kazan, you brave man! Go to Pristina and wave the Russian flag!” Sormaz wrote on his Twitter profile.
