Shortly before the start of the constitutive session, the Deputy Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lutfi Haziri, was asked whether LDK will vote for the proposed Speaker of the Assembly. He responded:
“There’s no such situation where a blank check vote is guaranteed for everything. This is part of political processes. The government is completely separate from the Assembly.”
Furthermore, Haziri stated that it is the responsibility of the leading party to present the proposal for the Speaker.
“We now have a confirmed and acknowledged timeline, and we are waiting for the election results to be implemented today. It is entirely the responsibility of the first party to come forward with the proposal, and then our party and the other parties will make their own proposals,” Haziri said, according to KlanKosova.tv.
