The leaders of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Poland visited Kyiv in a symbolic show of support for Ukraine, just one day after Vladimir Putin held a military parade in Moscow’s Red Square.

The visit comes at a tense moment, as the United States has warned of a potential large-scale airstrike against Ukraine, according to intelligence reports.

Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron, Friedrich Merz, and Donald Tusk arrived in Kyiv by train, joining Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a joint effort to explore a path toward a ceasefire.

The four leaders met Friday evening in the Polish city of Rzeszow before traveling together to Kyiv. They held talks with Zelensky aimed at halting the escalation of the war and seeking a diplomatic solution to the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
