233 Rounds of Ammunition Suspected to Be Left Over from the Kosovo War Found in a Forest in Novobërdë

A total of 233 rounds of ammunition, believed to be remnants of the Kosovo War, have been discovered in a forest near the village of Izvor in the municipality of Novobërdë.

According to the Kosovo Police, the ammunition was found by a young woman who was tending livestock in the forest.

“Relevant police units responded to the scene and recovered 233 old rounds of ammunition attached to an ammunition belt, which are suspected to have been left over from the last war in Kosovo. The prosecutor was notified of the case, and, with the prosecutor’s authorization, an official report was prepared at the police station,” the Kosovo Police said in its 24-hour report.
