Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said he was very pleased with the meeting held today in Ankara with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Vučić stated that they had a sincere and open discussion, describing it as a conversation between two friends who have known each other for a long time and share strong mutual respect.
The Serbian president said they discussed Turkish investments in Serbia, infrastructure projects in which Turkish companies could participate, and the expansion of trade exchange between the two countries.
“I am satisfied with the growth in trade exchange between our countries, which means a lot for Serbia, for which Turkey is one of the most important trading partners. I would especially like to thank Turkey for confirming its participation in EXPO,” Vučić said.
He added that they also discussed Erdoğan’s initiative for a Balkan peace platform, noting that he is ready to respond to any call related to it.
“Thank you, President Erdoğan, for always being ready to listen. We highly respect your leadership and look forward to your upcoming visit to Serbia. If Turkey and Serbia can cooperate well on various issues, I am confident that we will be able to preserve peace for the benefit of all our peoples,” Vučić wrote.
