Donika Gërvalla has formally taken office as Kosovo’s Minister of Justice, receiving the handover from former acting minister Blerim Sallahu.

Upon assuming the role, Gërvalla emphasized that justice is the cornerstone of the Republic of Kosovo.

“Justice is the cornerstone of our Republic. Judicial reforms are proof of our determination to build a state where the law cannot be negotiated, where accountability cannot be avoided, and where justice recognizes no name, position, or influence. This is our fight for justice, institutional dignity, and citizens’ trust,” she said.

She also stressed a firm commitment to equality before the law:

“No one is above the law! This principle guides our cause and guarantees that the Republic of Kosovo will always remain stronger, fairer, and prouder for every citizen,” Gërvalla added.
