On the occasion of the 18th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence, Prime Minister Albin Kurti received Albanian President Bajram Begaj in a high-level meeting highlighting the close cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, President Begaj extended his warmest congratulations to the people and state of Kosovo on this landmark anniversary, emphasizing the shared history and enduring friendship between Kosovo and Albania.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed appreciation for the congratulations and wished President Begaj success in his mandate. He also reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to advancing the welfare and prosperity of its citizens while achieving the government’s objectives.
According to official statements, the leaders discussed bilateral relations, regional developments, and the outcomes of prior intergovernmental agreements, while reaffirming a mutual commitment to expand cooperation across multiple sectors and deepen intergovernmental ties.
Kurti also thanked President Begaj for his visit, noting that he is the first Albanian president to be officially received in Kurti’s office during his new term. The meeting underscores the strategic importance of Kosovo-Albania relations and the continued collaboration between the two governments.
