On the last day of the holy month of Ramadan, Mufti Naim Tërnava addressed Muslim believers on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

He stated that Ramadan was a period of deep spiritual and moral education for believers, emphasizing that this celebration represents the culmination of a journey of devotion and piety, reports Ekonomia Online.

He explained that Ramadan served as a high school of spiritual education, while Eid al-Fitr manifests the highest human and divine values, conveying messages of peace, solidarity, and social responsibility.

“This blessed month was a high school of spiritual and moral education, where believers sought to purify the heart, discipline the soul, and draw closer to the Almighty. Through fasting, prayer, and solidarity, we regained inner balance and strengthened our connection with the Creator and with each other,” he said.

He emphasized that Ramadan demonstrates that faith requires continuous commitment and responsibility.

“Ramadan taught us that faith is not only words, but a living commitment. It educated us in patience, sincerity, and responsibility, reminding us that humans reach their greatness through humility and devotion. This month made us aware of our responsibilities toward God, ourselves, and society, reinforcing a sense of solidarity and compassion for those in need,” he said.

According to him, Eid al-Fitr represents the crown of this spiritual journey and is a day of reflection on both individual and collective responsibility.

“Eid al-Fitr is the crown of this spiritual journey. It is not only a celebration of joy, but a manifestation of the highest human and divine values. On this day, hearts are filled with peace, forgiveness, and love, and believers feel more deeply their responsibility as God’s stewards on earth, to spread goodness and build a just and moral society,” he said.

Mufti Tërnava emphasized that this holiday remains a symbol of unity, reconciliation, and humanism, calling for increased solidarity with those in need.

“In our tradition, Eid al-Fitr is a festival of unity, reconciliation, and humanism. It is the day when hearts open, hands of reconciliation extend, and family and social bonds are strengthened. Our tables are filled with abundance, but above all with love, respect, and gratitude. This holiday reminds us that true joy is what is shared with others. It is a day to be close to one another, to care for the poor, orphans, the elderly, and the sick. Eid teaches us that humanism is not just a feeling, but a moral and spiritual duty that should accompany our daily lives,” he said.

Finally, he highlighted that the message of this celebration is peace and human dignity in a time of global challenges.

“The message of Eid al-Fitr is peace, solidarity, and human dignity, at a time when the world faces conflicts and wars that take innocent lives. This holiday invites us to pray for peace and commit to building a more just world. We pray that the Almighty will guide humanity, end wars, stop suffering, and bring peace and understanding to the world,” he said.
