A recent survey by the American Foreign Policy Research Institute shows that 69% of Albanians would be willing to fight for their country, placing Albania second among NATO members, just behind Turkey at 88%. The study positions Albania ahead of countries such as Sweden (66%), Finland (64%), and Montenegro (63%).
The survey further ranks Greece at 63%, Norway at 61%, Lithuania at 52%, and both Poland and Slovenia at 49%.
North America’s two NATO allies fall slightly below the average, with 39% of Canadians and 37% of Americans indicating their willingness to fight for their nation.
Countries with the lowest willingness among NATO members include Italy and Slovakia (both 25%), Germany (27%), the Netherlands (30%), and Hungary and the Czech Republic (33%).
This survey highlights Albania’s strong sense of national commitment and defense readiness among NATO members.
