The country’s president, Vjosa Osmani, on the eve of the meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, spoke with the German president, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, regarding Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe.
President Osmani in a post on the X platform says that in the conversation with the German counterpart, she emphasized the importance for the successful completion of this process.
“Yesterday I spoke with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to discuss Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe.
I emphasized the importance for the successful completion of this process, to ensure that all our citizens benefit from the instruments of the Council as soon as possible.
Our membership would not only be a victory for human rights in Kosovo, but also a victory for our continent and the values on which it strongly stands”, writes Osmani.
