Qatar’s Prime Minister has condemned attacks on civilian infrastructure “by any party,” during a phone conversation with Iran’s top diplomat, amid escalating tensions in the region.

According to Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a call with Abbas Araghchi to discuss the ongoing escalation and its broader regional implications.

During the conversation, Al-Thani expressed concern over the deteriorating security situation and emphasized that targeting civilian infrastructure and essential resources is unacceptable under any circumstances. He stressed that such actions must be condemned regardless of the party responsible.

The Qatari prime minister also reportedly voiced dissatisfaction with continued Iranian attacks affecting Qatar and neighboring countries that have not been directly involved in the conflict.

The discussion reflects growing regional unease as tensions continue to rise, with diplomatic efforts intensifying to prevent further escalation and protect civilian populations.

Qatar has positioned itself as a mediator in several regional conflicts in recent years, and its latest diplomatic engagement signals ongoing attempts to de-escalate the situation through dialogue.
