Forces of the United States carried out overnight strikes using one-way attack drones against Iran as part of the military operation known as “Epic Fury.”
According to United States Central Command, this development comes just one month after the command began deploying low-cost aerial attack drones in combat for the first time marking a significant shift in military strategy.
Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, stated:
“Today, hundreds of U.S. drones are fully integrated into offensive and defensive operations against Iran. These platforms operate in the air, at sea, underwater, and on land in support of our military objectives.”
The operation highlights the growing role of drone warfare in modern conflicts, especially amid escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran.
