Vjosa Osmani, the former President of Kosovo, appeared on T7’s program Pressing, addressing the European Union sanctions imposed on Kosovo.
Osmani described the sanctions as unfair, emphasizing that Kosovo had been attacked by Serbian criminal gangs at the time.
“Sanctions were entirely unjust, imposed on Kosovo despite the fact that the attack in 2023 came from Serbian gangs directed by Belgrade,” she said.
She also noted that misunderstandings between the Kosovo government and its allies contributed to the situation but were eventually resolved:
“We managed to eliminate these misunderstandings through discussions with our allies, and by December, those measures were lifted,” Osmani added.
