U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States has agreed to a two-week ceasefire with Iran, mediated by Pakistan, in order to allow both sides time to negotiate a peace agreement.
Trump described the development as “a great day for World Peace,” according to BBC, as reported by Rks News.
In his post on Truth Social, Trump reiterated: “It is a great day for World Peace!”
“Iran wants this to happen—they’ve had enough! So has everyone else!”
He added that the United States would be “helping to manage traffic” in the Strait of Hormuz, continuing:
“There will be many positive developments! A lot of money will be made. Iran can begin the process of rebuilding. We will be supplied with various goods and will simply ‘stand by’ to ensure everything goes well. I am confident that it will. Just as we are experiencing in the United States, this could be the Golden Age of the Middle East!”
