The Democratic Party of Albania is organizing its next national protest today at 19:00, after notifying the Tirana Police that it will be held on the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard.
To manage the protest, the Police have announced that more than 1,200 officers will be deployed. Authorities have also appealed to organizers to respect the designated location and the announced time.
A special operational plan has been prepared for managing the protest. Since midnight on Thursday, traffic has been restricted in several road segments, which will remain inaccessible to vehicles until the end of the protest.
Parking and traffic restrictions after 15:00 will be in effect throughout the boulevard perimeter. Police are asking for citizens’ understanding due to limitations in vehicle movement.
For protesters, police also appeal to distance themselves in case they are confronted with illegal actions that may threaten public order and safety.
