Acting Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Fitore Pacolli has announced a major nationwide cleanup initiative aimed at addressing illegal waste dumps and improving environmental conditions across Kosovo.
During a visit to one of the country’s large landfill sites on Wednesday, Pacolli said that waste management and environmental cleanup efforts will now become a key priority.
“The waste is next: soon we will launch a major cleanup package across all of Kosovo,” Pacolli stated.
According to local media reports, the initiative is expected to be the latest in a series of actions announced by the ministry targeting landfill treatment and environmental rehabilitation projects throughout the country.
