An incident occurred at the Eurovision Song Contest Media Center in Vienna, where a member of the Serbian delegation reportedly objected to the display of the Kosovo flag during the performance of Albanian singer Alis Kallaçi and his song “Nân.”
Albert Limani, a member of Eurovision Kosova who was present alongside the RTK team in the media hall while watching Alis’ performance, stated that a woman from the Serbian delegation attempted to remove the Kosovo flag.
“While we were celebrating Albania’s Eurovision performance together with other colleagues at the Media Center in Vienna, a woman from the Serbian delegation approached us and tried to remove the Kosovo flag, telling us that ‘this flag is not allowed here.’ She attempted to touch it, but I did not allow her to do so, and she stepped back. The Kosovo flag will wave and be allowed everywhere, and we will protect it at all costs,” Limani wrote on Facebook, also sharing a video of the incident.
Alis Kallaçi performed fifth in the Eurovision grand final with the song “Nân,” an emotional ballad dedicated to the deep bond between a mother and child.
