Kosovo Security Force Deepens Cooperation with the U.S., Future Plans and NATO Discussed

The Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, hosted Brigadier General Chris A. McKinney, Deputy Chief of J5/8 at the United States European Command (USEUCOM J5/8).

Initially, the two generals discussed the existing cooperation between the Kosovo Security Force and the United States European Command, as well as the need to further strengthen this cooperation in the future.

General Jashari informed General McKinney about the developments and achievements of the KSF, also focusing on future plans aimed at fulfilling Kosovo’s aspirations for NATO membership.

The two generals also praised the KSF’s contribution within the framework of the International Stabilization Force for Gaza (ISF), where the first KSF contingent is expected to be deployed soon.

At the end of the meeting, General McKinney thanked General Jashari for his cooperation and leadership during the period in which the KSF is in the final phase of the Comprehensive Transition Plan, while also reaffirming USEUCOM’s commitment to supporting the KSF in the future.
