The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, has extended his greetings for the Kurban Bajram (Eid al-Adha) holiday from the holy city of Mecca.
In a Facebook post, Begaj wished Muslim believers prosperity, health, harmony, and kindness in their families.
“Eid al-Adha is a reminder of sacrifice, devotion to God, solidarity with one another, and care for those in greater need. Society becomes stronger when people share not only joy, but also sorrow and responsibility for others. Holidays like Eid al-Adha remind us of the values we have kept alive for centuries: faith, family, hospitality, and respect for one another.”
“I am especially honored to spend this holiday in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the place where millions of believers from around the world come together in prayer, humility, and peace. Happy Eid al-Adha! May God bring peace, goodness, and prosperity to every Albanian household!” he wrote.
