Indictment Filed Over 2022 Northern Kosovo Roadblocks, Investigations Suspended for Radoičić Due to Absence

The Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo Prokuroria Speciale e Republikës së Kosovës has announced that it has filed an indictment against six individuals for the criminal offenses of “organizing a group for unconstitutional activity aimed at attacking the constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo” and “obstructing official persons in the performance of official duties.”

According to the statement, the accused individuals — identified by initials D.M., D.D., M.R., N.J., N.O., and S.V. — are alleged to have acted between December 10 and December 29, 2022, in the northern municipalities of Kosovo, where they coordinated and used force and violence to obstruct state institutions from enforcing constitutional order, exercising state authority, and carrying out official duties.

The indictment states that they blocked major roads using heavy machinery, including trucks loaded with gravel, excavators, ambulances, buses, and other vehicles.

It further alleges that the group was prepared to attack Kosovo Police Kosovo Police officers if they attempted to remove the barricades and restore freedom of movement.

At the same time, the Special Prosecution Office confirmed that investigations into several other individuals have been suspended, including Milan Radoičić Milan Radoičić, due to the fact that they are currently unavailable to judicial authorities.
