U.S. Chargé d’Affaires in Kosovo, Anu Prattipati, has once again called on Kosovo to consider becoming part of an American liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, emphasizing the importance of diversifying the country’s energy sources.
Speaking at an event organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo for the July 4th celebration, Prattipati highlighted the importance of economic relations between Kosovo and the United States and encouraged Kosovo to explore opportunities linked to U.S. LNG supplies.
According to a statement published by the Embassy of the United States in Kosovo, Prattipati said that Kosovo’s participation in such a project could help attract future American investments and strengthen energy security.
She also welcomed Kosovo’s decision to remove customs tariffs on U.S. goods and stressed that energy diversification through American LNG would contribute to deeper economic cooperation between the two countries.
The call comes as Kosovo continues efforts to strengthen its energy security and reduce dependence on limited energy sources, while the United States promotes greater regional energy diversification and investment opportunities in the Western Balkans.
