Kosovo Police have arrested three suspects accused of using forged official documents in an alleged scheme to unlawfully acquire ownership of land worth approximately €1.55 million.
According to police, the suspects allegedly forged and used a range of official documents, including passports, identity cards, certificates, and other records, presenting them as authentic in an attempt to carry out illegal property transactions.
Authorities said the suspects sought to complete the sale of land through fraudulent documentation with the aim of obtaining approximately €1.55 million. They are suspected of committing the criminal offenses of co-perpetration, aiding, fraud, and document forgery.
The three suspects were interviewed on July 30, 2026, in the presence of their defense lawyers.
Following consultations with the case prosecutor from the Basic Prosecution Office in Prishtina, General Department, two of the suspects were ordered into 48-hour detention, while the third was released pending further legal proceedings.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to examine the alleged fraud scheme and the authenticity of the documents involved.
