Kosovo Police have announced extensive security measures ahead of the Sunny Hill Festival, which will take place from July 31 to August 2 in Bërnicë, Prishtina.
A significant number of police officers have been deployed to the festival area and across the wider region to ensure public safety and the smooth running of the event.
Authorities also warned that full and partial road closures, as well as traffic diversions, will be implemented on roads leading to the festival venue due to the expected high volume of vehicles and visitors.
Police urged citizens to cooperate with officers on the ground and follow all instructions, noting that the measures are intended to protect public safety and maintain order throughout the festival.
The operational plan includes crowd management, enhanced public order patrols, traffic regulation, security monitoring, investigations where necessary, and legal action against anyone violating the law.
Festival organizers have also arranged shuttle transportation between Prishtina and the festival site. Police are encouraging attendees to use the organized transport, as access to the venue will be restricted and only authorized vehicles and those with parking permits will be allowed to enter.
Authorities added that additional traffic measures may be introduced depending on conditions on the ground, with officers providing guidance to drivers and festival-goers as needed.
