A wildfire has broken out in a mountainous area between the administrative units of Kolsh and Surroj, near the Nation’s Road (Rruga e Kombit), approximately two kilometers from the Kalimash Tunnel.
The flames have engulfed an area covered with vegetation and shrubs, while the spread of the fire is being intensified by strong winds and high temperatures affecting the region.
Firefighters, Civil Protection Agency teams, and local residents have been mobilized and are heading toward the fire site to intervene and bring the situation under control.
So far, no damage to homes or threats to people have been reported. The response efforts are focused on containing the flames and preventing further spread across the mountainous terrain.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation, while weather conditions, including high temperatures and wind, remain factors making the work of emergency teams more difficult.
